MTV Music Awards - The Make up

Hi loves,

Hope you all are doing great. I watched the mtv music awards a couple of days back and i wanted to do a post of the make up looks some of the lovely ladies were wearing. For this red carpet event there were couple of looks everyone was following, the red lip, the smokey eye, the natural look..

so lets take a look at some of the looks

The Red Lip

Taylor Swift wore a glossy bright red lip with winged liner and some false lashes. I love this simple look yet elegant look on her.

Rihanna rocked matte orangey red lip with dramatic false lashes and a lot of contour on the cheek. This looked effortless yet polished.

Rita Ora went with a classic winged liner and a glossy brick red lip, and pairing that with a orangey blush and a matte face.

Demi Lavato also went with a matte bright red lip, and nude eyes with false lashes. On her checks she wore peach blush and some highlighter.

The Smokey Eye

The beautiful katy perry wore a purple taupe smokey eye with false lashes, which looks a lot similar to her wide awake music video look but a bit toned down. And she is wearing a rosy pink lip.

Pink rocked a silvery grey smokey eye with nude lips and a brown blush.

The gorgeous Zoe saldana wore a brown smokey eye with gunmetal winged liner. On her lips she is wearing an orangey coral color, and a orangey blush on the ckeeks.

The Naturals

The beautiful Emma Watson wants the focus on her lips, she is wearing a bubblegum pink lipstick with lipsgloss. And on her eyes she is wearing eyeliner and loads of mascara, and a touch of bubblegum pink blush to the cheeks

Miley Cyrus  is rocking heavy black liner with loads of mascara, and a nude pink lip. Along with some peach blush.

Holland Roden emphasized on her eyes by using a taupe brown eyeshadow and a lot of black liner, while using a natural blush and contour on her cheeks. And on her lips she is wearing a matte nude pink.

I hope you ladies enjoyed my recap of the Lovely looks, from the mtv music awards. Let me know below which look was your favorite. And also if you would like me to recreate any of the looks.

Until Next Time..

Sexy Fall / Summer Look

Hi loves,

Hope you all are doing great. Since i missed a few months i will be doing a couple of tutorials for you guys. So this look is inspired by fall leaves, and this would be perfect look for summer or fall.

I will be using the coastal scents 88 palette. I hope you enjoy...

For The Eyes

1. Prime your lids to prevent creasing.

2. Apply a white pencil all over your lids, this would act as a base, and this would help the eye-shadow to go on vibrantly.

3. Then taking a flat shader brush take the color marked with a yellow circle and apply it in the inner corner.

4. Using the same flat shader brush apply the color marked with the white circle after the yellow color, make sure to stop in the middle.

5. Take the color marked with the orange circle and and apply it in the outer v.

6. Then taking a fluffy brush take the color marked with the green circle, and blend it on your crease.

7. Line the inner & upper lash line with a black pencil liner.

8. Add loads of mascara on to your top and bottom lashes

For the Lips

ok on to getting fun full summery lips,

1. Apply a coral lipstick, i applied maybelline color sensational coral crush.

2. Then on top of that i added, the color marked with white circle.

Celebrity Inspired- Priyanka Chopra

Hi loves,

Hope you all are doing great. This week i will be doing a celebrity inspired look of priyanka chopra, which was on the cover of Vogue India released in dec 2011. I know that is a late issue but i loved the look and i couldn't resist recreating it.

I love priyanka to bits, she is an amazing actress and has a wonderful personality. Her looks are always neutral, and almost looks as though she isn't wearing make up. But on the cover of vogue she is wearing a dark black and brown with a rosy nude lip.

She looks amazing and i hope i could do this look justice. Hope you enjoy..

1. Prime your lids to prevent creasing.

2. Take avon super shock pencil in chocolate melt all over your lids, this would help the matte eye-shadow stick better.

3. Then taking a flat shader brush take the colours marked with a yellow circle and red circle and apply it on top of chocolate melt, and bring it slightly into your crease. Make sure to blend to avoid a harsh line.

4. Then take blending brush and pick up the colour marked with a white circle and blend it in circular motions into the outer v and bring it into your crease. Make sure to blend to avoid a harsh line.

5. keep adding colour to make the outer v deep and dark.

6. Add a highlighter colour which is marked with the blue circle on to your brow bone.

7. Then take some Vaseline and add it on to the middle of your lids for shine.

8. Line the inner & upper lash line with a black pencil liner.

9. Then i used the colour marked with the yellow circle as a bronzer.

10. Then for my lip colour i first applied Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipsticks in hooked on pink and then on top i added born with it.

11. Curl your lashes and apply black mascara to top and bottom lashes.

FOTD- Romantic & Flirty eyes

Hi loves,

Hope you all are doing great? For this weeks tutorial i am doing a romantic and flirty look. I created an easy tutorial using pinks and dark brown from the 88 pallet. I am not a huge fan of pink, so i tried to use it in a subtle way. Hope you enjoy..

1. Prime your lids to prevent creasing.

2. Apply Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Strawberry Milk all over your lids, this would help the shadow go on brighter. You can skip this step if you don't have the jumbo pencil.

3. Then taking a flat shader brush take the colours marked with a white circle and apply it on top of strawberry milk, and bring it slightly into your crease. Make sure to blend to avoid a harsh line.

4. Then take blending brush and pick up the two colours marked with a yellow circle and blend it in circular motions into the outer v and bring it into your crease. Make sure to blend to avoid a harsh line.

5. keep adding colour depending on how deep and dark you want the look to be

6. Taking a pencil brush apply the colour marked with a orange circle into your inner corner. Blend it out.

7. Add a highlighter colour which is marked with the orange circle on to your brow bone.

8. Line the inner lower & upper lash line with a black pencil liner.

9. Curl your lashes and apply black mascara to top and bottom lashes.

10. Apply your other make-up as usual.

* Sorry about the pictures i was unable to take proper pictures since the sun was going down. I might take new pictures and re upload them soon.

Review Monday- Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick

Hi loves,

Hope you all are doing great. For this week i will be reviewing Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipsticks, from my collective haul if you want to check that out click here . I have 3 different lipsticks to review so hope you enjoy..

Price: Rm 22.90 Each

Quantity: 4.2 g

Packaging: The product comes in a metal tube with a translucent square cover.

Fragrance: Floral and yummy :)

What Maybelline Says:
                                  CRISPER COLOUR from pure pigments
CREAMIER FEEL from nourishing honey nectar

My Review:
I have always been in love with all the products maybelline comes up with. And this brand has never let me down so far. And the Colour Sensational Lipsticks is one of them. The product comes in a translucent coloured tube that matches the lipstick inside. These lipsticks are so pigmented and moisturising, the texture to this is creamy and glides on effortlessly. These lipsticks go on glossy and stay on for 3-5 hours, even though the glossiness goes of the tint of the colour stays on for about an hour or so.

+ 065 Hooked On Pink - I would say this colour is a pinky red with a glossy finish. And this colour is perfect for all the skin tones. I am in love with this colour, i wear this everyday.
Hooked On Pink

+ 515 Coral Crush- This colour goes on vibrantly, but it is not a neon orange as seen in the tube it is slightly muted kind of like a pinky orange. This goes on glossy as well.

Coral Crush

+ 015 Born With It - This colour is a soft pinky nude with shimmer, This goes on glossy as well, but the shimmers in the lipstick kind of get into the lip lines. If you have darker lips this might look pale and ghostly. But this lipstick is great to use to tone down brighter lipsticks.

Born With It

In A Nutshell:

Pros:
- Affordable
pigmented
- moisturising
- creamy

Cons:
- The shimmers in the shimmery shades might get into the lip lines.

I would rate this product 4.5/5

I would definitely repurchase lipsticks from this line again. Since it is affordable and pigmented and there are 62 shades to choose from.

what do you guys think of this weeks review? Have you tried Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipsticks? What do you think of it? Let me know what you think in the comments below. If you liked this post be sure to share it the links are below.

Until Next Time...
